Prof. Dr. Yunus Eryaman

Turkey

Prof. Dr. Yunus Eryaman completed his undergraduate education at Gazi University Faculty of Education in 1998 and then completed his master's education at the University of Missouri in the USA as a scholarship holder of the Ministry of National Education and his doctorate at the University of Illinois. After his doctorate, he returned to the country in 2007 to fulfil his compulsory service and started working as a faculty member at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Education. During his academic career at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, he served as department head, vice dean, deputy secretary general, Senate member, and advisor to the rector. Dr. Eryaman, who served as the president of the World Educational Research Association, the world's largest organisation in the field of education, between 2020 and 2022, has been working as an evaluation expert on sector-university interaction projects and Horizon Europe projects at the European Commission in Brussels since 2018. Dr. Eryaman was a visiting professor at London Metropolitan University in 2011 and worked as a faculty member at the University of Hamburg between 2016 and 2018. Dr. Eryaman currently serves as a book series editor at Springer Publishing, a world-renowned publishing company, and as a regional editor at Bloomsbury Publishing in London.

 

Dr. Eryaman also serves as the managing editor of the International Journal of Progressive Education and Educational Policy Analysis and Strategic Research. Dr. Eryaman has taken part in over twenty national and international projects, and some of his published academic books are as follows: Teaching as Practical Philosophy (2008), Evidence and Public Good in Educational Policy, Research and Practice (2017), International Handbook of Progressive Education (2015); Accountability and Transparency in Education: Global Challenges and Local Realities (2014), Peter McLaren, Education, and the Struggle for Liberation (2009).

Prof. Dr. Aras Bozkurt

Prof. Dr. Aras Bozkurt is a researcher and faculty member at Anadolu University, Türkiye. With MA and PhD degrees in distance education, Dr. Bozkurt's work focuses on empirical studies in areas such as distance education, online learning, networked learning, and educational technology. He applies critical theories like connectivism, rhizomatic learning, and heutagogy to his research. Dr. Bozkurt is also interested in emerging research paradigms, including social network analysis, sentiment analysis, and data mining. Dr. Bozkurt's studies also cover the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into educational processes in the axis of human-machine interaction.

His dedication to advancing the field is reflected in his editorial roles as the Editor-in-Chief of Open Praxis and Asian Journal of Distance Education, as well as his roles as an associate editor for prestigious journals like Higher Education Research and Development, Online Learning, eLearn Magazine, and Computer Applications in Engineering Education.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Koutheair

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Koutheair Khribi is a dedicated researcher and expert in inclusive ICT and Education. With over 22 years of experience, he has made significant contributions to both research and practice, actively participating in various national, regional, and global initiatives aimed at promoting access to technology and expanding learning opportunities for all. Currently, Dr. Mohamed Koutheair serves as the Acting Director of Digital Accessibility Services Department at Mada, Qatar assistive technology center. His professional journey spans academia, and research, with extensive collaboration with prestigious organizations such as ALECSO and UNESCO, among others. He has played key strategic roles in numerous national and international projects, demonstrating leadership and innovation in ICT, higher education, and research sectors. Dr. Mohamed Koutheair holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, along with a Master of Science and Engineering degree in the same field. As a Fulbright Alumnus, he expanded his expertise in educational recommendation systems during his research tenure in the U.S., gaining deeper insights into knowledge discovery and web mining. An IEEE Senior Member, Dr. Mohamed Koutheair has authored several well-cited publications in scientific journals, books, and conferences. He also contributes to the academic community as an editor, program chair, and reviewer for multiple international journals and conferences. His research interests include Personalized Learning, AI in Education, Open Education, ICT Accessibility, Educational Recommender Systems, and more.

Assoc. Prof. Bogdan Patrut

Romania

Professor Bogdan Patrut is a distinguished academic and researcher from Romania, with a specialisation in pedagogical technology, artificial intelligence, and computer science. He is currently employed as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Science, Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Education at the University of Bacău, Romania. Professor Patrut has dedicated his career to the advancement of knowledge in these dynamic disciplines, with a particular emphasis on algorithms, data structures, distributed artificial intelligence, and programming. His teaching encompasses courses in accounting, business information systems, and computer science, where he provides guidance to the upcoming generation of professionals.

Professor Patrut's multidisciplinary approach and diverse academic interests are demonstrated by his two Ph.D. degrees. He obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Babes-Bolyai University, where he focused on pedagogical software, natural language processing, and intelligent agents. Furthermore, he earned a Ph.D. in Accounting from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, with an emphasis on the integration of multi-agent systems into computer-assisted learning and accounting education. This dual academic background uniquely positions him at the intersection of technology and education, enabling him to make significant contributions to both disciplines.

Professor Patrut is a prominent figure in the software development and publishing industries, in addition to his academic responsibilities. Since 2002, he has been the manager of EduSoft Ltd., a publishing and software development company that he co-founded. He serves as the editor of BRAIN. Broad Research in Artificial Intelligence and Neuroscience (http://brain.edusoft.ro), where he collaborates with authors, reviewers, and publishers to supervise the journal's editorial process. His dedication to the practical and impactful application of research is further demonstrated by his work in educational software development and publishing.

Professor Patrut's professional journey commenced in secondary education, where he instructed computer science at high schools in Bacău before transitioning to the University of Bacău. His research and teaching have garnered him recognition within the academic community, particularly for his contributions to the implementation of technology in education, intelligent systems, and artificial intelligence.

Professor Patrut continues to motivate students, researchers, and professionals equally, owing to his extensive academic background, which includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Distributed Processing. He has established himself as a prominent figure in the disciplines of educational technology, artificial intelligence, and computer science as a result of his contributions to both theoretical and applied research.
